We recently contacted 811 (Blue Stakes of Utah, "Call before you dig") and the only marking TBID made on the property was a circle of paint around the meter... This reveals nothing about the underground water utility line. All we can do with this is estimate a straight line from the meter to our stop and waste valve 35 feet away (which they didn't mark either). More information from TBID should have been given--the trip their employee made wasn't even worth it. The line is approximately 3.5-4 feet below the ground based on the depth of the entry to our house and the stop and waste valve. This is shallow enough to require a marking for any project.
