Great multi use trail. Happy to see so many different activities being enjoyed on a trail. Steep at points with great views and gnarly switchbacks.

MOST DIFFICULT black diamond excellent motorcycle trail. Switchbacks, ruts and steep terrain, other than that easy singletrack. Try it, you'll like it. Scrub oak at bottom and tall pines at the top.

The drive out is up a beautiful canyon road along the picturesque Kern river. The trailhead has plenty of parking and is well marked. It's a moderate hike with lots of scenery. Down on the river is a local secret hot spring.

I hiked the trail up from the Mill Creek Trailhead to Breckenridge road. It was about 15 miles round-trip with 4200 ft elevation gain. It was all uphill the first half and made for a nice downhill run during the second half. The terrain, temperature, and flora changed dramatically over the hike, allowing for varying views and an interesting hike. A fellow hiker said he saw a mountain lion within the first two miles, so be wary of wildlife, hunters, and keep a camera ready.
