Hi Cody. I'm sorry to hear about your situation. If you are an insured under the policy but were not involved in the accident, then it should have no effect on you whatsoever. It's possible that an accident on a policy you are insured on could affect your rates getting insurance later. But that is going to be dependent on the individual insurance company quoting you. I would be surprised if you had any issues since you were not the one driving the car.
