I'm kicking myself because I didn't take a before picture. I can assure you Restoration & Repair Specialists live up to their company name. We worked with Taylor and were incredibly satisfied with his work. We took the dresser in below because it had a couple of drawers that were coming undone and a big split on the top of the dresser. It's obvious Taylor knows what he is doing. He gave us some great information about this piece (when it was created, how he figured it out, etc) and he has a passion for restoring older furniture. He did a fantastic job of repairing the split as well as leveling the warping on the top. Taylor gave us a great estimate and stuck to the timeline he set when we first spoke with him. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Restoration & Repair Specialists to fix important pieces of family furniture.

Vince fixed some of my great grandmother’s chairs so that they don’t wobble anymore and he not only did a wonderful job, but he was excellent to work with. He also fixed an antique mirror for me and went above and beyond by added some protection to the back of the mirror so that it wouldn’t scrape my wall once hung.

Taylor has taken over the business from Vince who is taking a back seat

Taylor did a marvelous job shortening my barstools. The legs are wrapped in rattan with brass at the bottom and he was able to make them all perfectly even, keep the rattan in place, and replace the brass with a new brass. He did all this in one week. I would use him for anything I have in the future!

Redying is generally unsuccessful and will sometimes transfer color to clothing of those sitting on the couch .
If the cracked plate to which you are referring is the metal plate which the steel shaft from the upper part of the mechanism passes through then the entire mechanism must be replaced or have it welded at a local shop of your choice. If this is not the correct part I’ve described then I’m in the dark without seeing it. ...... Vince ..... Restoration & Repair Specialists 801-450-6062
