My family and I recently went on a trip here on a recommendation made by my daughter. Seeing as the family I went with are from a different state and I had never been before, we were all pleasantly surprised to see that there were many activities for us to keep busy with. The beach was beautiful, while the water was shivering cold, once we got used to it we were able to make great memories here. The amusement park was great, all the rides and games that were available was well worth the 2 hour car trip that we had to take to get there. There are many shops along the sidewalks, all of which are in close proximity to each other and are filled with souvenirs for everyone. One thing that I think could be improved is the pricing of the general area. The restaurant and shops, while nice in quality and quantity, have some truly ridiculously expensive items. My daughter and sister ordered two burgers with fries and wings, the total was over 70 dollars. The food was pretty good, but the wait time and pricing for it definitely was not worth it. Keep in mind, not all shops are like this, but you definitely need to go often to figure out which shops are best for certain items. I also think that the fact there are no free public rest rooms is a little ridiculous. The staff was very nice, but we had to pay 50 cents every time we needed to go to the bathroom. Some other restrooms were 75 cents. It may not seem like a lot, but for the amount of people in my family, thats about 7 dollars added to the trip. Again, it may not seem like much, but parking was 35 dollars,(later on in the night it was reduced to 20) over 70 for food, 30 for beach toys, (a bucket and shovel and umbrella) and about 20 for 3 ice creams which actually was the most reasonably priced thing here (the portions were ginormous!) Over all, the trip was enjoyed by everyone I had brought with me and was very relaxing. I would 100% recommend to someone and I plan on going again next year!

Beautiful place! So much to do, so many different restaurants to choose from, so many varieties of ice cream, food fry dough, arcades, rides, beautiful carousel and ferris wheel.Beach is super clean, people were super friendly as well. We had an amazing weekend!!! Only upside down was we had to pay for using bathroom 50 cents and 75 cents depending on the place! Parking was also great we payed 20 dollars for the whole day/night!

Not your typical beach town Pier, at least from the ones we’ve been too. There’s all kinds of shops, sports bars and places to eat all on the actual pier itself, which was cool. FYI, the bathrooms are .75/ea to use, which we thought kind of strange. We walked all the way to the end of the pier, realized we were very hungry and we decided to order some food for dinner and sit sit out on the Sunset Deck of the Patio Pub at the end of the pier. Food is good, but is kind of pricey and portions are somewhat small. You’re basically paying for the atmosphere and the scenery. It’s a great place to people watch.

We love Old Orchard Beach. There were a few things open in April, but not much. It's worth mentioning, there aren't any public bathrooms open and neither are most of the restaurants. There were a few ice cream shops and a few other little trinket shops open. The pay and Park lots are also closed. There is limited amount of curbside parking and a few other places that have free parking. They do have 2 port-a-potties near the public bathroom if you're brave. Everything else opens May 1st. Regardless, the beach was wonderful as always.

There are a few parking lots 10$ at night and 20$ for the day. But rides don't start till 4 pm
Almost everything is close foods open.
You likely won't have to make a reservation unless you absolutely need one for a large group. On a Thursday in old orchard post summer season, everything should be pretty open. Otherwise. Just call the sunset deck
Not sure of this. Here is contact info. for Old Orchard Beach Chamber Of Commerce where you should be able to get an answer. . OLD ORCHARD BEACH CHAMBER OF COMMERCE 11 First Street, Old Orchard Beach, Maine 04064 (207) 934-2500
Paul Golzbein! The Pier has been in the Golzbein family for four generations. Golzbein's greatgrandfather was one of the first tenants on the pier.
Pretty sure Mid September most places shut down
Yes as long as you follow the quarantine policy for the state that you reside
I was there two weeks ago and I did not think I saw at least those near the beach.
Yes, you have free 10 minute parking right near the beach and then you have meters along the street you have to pay for, sometimes it is a walking distance but nevertheless you would love the view. It is a beautiful site to see. Safe journey and welcome to the state of Maine on Old Ochard Beach. God bless.
Yes I believe there's a ramp
It depends on where you find to park everyplace is different, but yes you definitely have to pay.
On the pier itself. Just pat the Captain Morgan statue there a dipping dot place
