Bar service used to be excellent when Anna was here. It's terrible now. Ask for bread and bread doesn't come. Ask again and... I'm informed "the restaurant is busy right now." Dinner napkins... not provided with dinner service. I have to ask for dinner napkins? Yes. More, along with the absence of napkins, there's no welcoming attitude. It's mechanically unpleasant here. Ordered the chicken... and it was reheated (possibly from the day before given the tough texture. I know food having been in the restaurant business.) That dish was not only pathetic on it's own, it's an insult to guests from a Chef who thinks customers don't know the difference between freshly cooked chicken and reheated. Better chicken is served at Pollo Tropical. To the restaurant's credit on that occasion, they did ask if a wanted the chicken redone or to place a different order. I chose the latter. Even so, kitchen screw-ups like this translate into one person being done with dinner while the another still waits on their dish. Fact that Bellini automatically adds 18% gratuity for a poorly orchestrated dinner service is another guest insult. Positive note: if there's a Chef at Bellini dedicated to the pasta dishes, that person knows what they're doing---compliments to him/her. If you go to Bellini, go for the pasta. Outside terrace seating with a view over the Bay is another reason to go. Am tough on Bellini because when a restaurant promotes itself being upscale, guests should expect good service, friendly & attentive staff, and consistently good food no matter what's ordered. That's not what is being offered anymore at Bellini. In my opinion, the fine attention to detail that Bellini opened with... that's gone.
