We loved the history and the distance from Omaha. If you loved the caves of SD you'll also enjoy this historical site. It was definitely a fun adventure for a small family trip.

Wow. Just wow. This was a “let’s go see what this is about” stop and now we are telling everyone to go check this out. So much history and cool stories. Make a reservation. They are busy.

$16 for adults, $8 for kids 6-12, $4 for kids 1-5. There are discounts available for seniors and military. Also for school fieldtrips.
Guests walk through the cave on a natural sand floor. There are stone stairs as well.
62 feet deep at the bottom of the well shaft. Most of the cave is three or four stories beneath the building. Guests have used canes but wheelchairs and walkers won’t work due to the sand floor.
