I adopted Sylvie (Mina now) yesterday 3/19/2022. They said she's been in shelters most of her life and I don't understand why. She's nothing but a sweetheart. She is quite shy but already coming out of her shell. She acts as if she never played with toys before but is quickly learning she's got lots all for herself.***Update*** 4/6/2022- Mina is great, she's gets along with everyone. She loves walking the kiddo to school and seeing all the kids and she has even won the cat over. *** Update *** 9/9/2022- She's getting ready for Halloween 🎃 She has learned how to walk off leash and now really loves car rides. Mina is currently learning to be a service dog too.

Showed up at 12:05 and sign still said closed so my 6 year old son and I walked up to check since the hours stated they opened at noon. The doors were still locked but a lady did come to the door. I have to say she was very rude and condescending. When I asked her if they were opening now she replied that they were by appointment only now and that it was only for people serious about adopting. Excuse me lady but you don't know me. You don't know the fact that I've adopted four different cats from different Humane Societys over the years. I didn't realize that the Humane Society had become an exclusive club and that if you're not the right person you can't help rescue a pet it's a shame.

I've done animal rescue and foster for 35 years. Never seen such disorder before. Employers try. But management has no clue

Put in an application for a cat at petsmart and I called a few times and guy said he would call back on Friday but must of got busy which is ok.Called today on Monday lady answered the phone and mentioned to her I left a voice mail before I even spoke to that guy then she tells me I never left any messages which clearly I been trying to adopt the cat for almost a week. When I called today lady said he was sick with an eye infection and they would treat him but since he got sick they took him back to the humane society and basically told me anyone can adopt him even though petsmart said once application is in then they hold your spot Which I guess is not the case.So since lady on the phone was very rude I just said forget it. Not impressed because this did not happen years ago when I went there. Very disappointed.

Do you have a day where there is free adoption

Carlee Fiddes | Oct 1, 2019

Unless we find a generous donor that's willing to sponsor our adoptions unfortunately we still have to pay to take care of the animals in our care and so free adoptions are not very common. We do have many animals looking for foster homes which is a free way to assist animals get prepared to find their forever homes. We even provide all supplies for those animals including medical care, food, litter etc
