I was on hwy 105 driving south at 8pm and as I rounded a corner a deer was standing in the road. I drifted to the right to Miss it and ended up catching the shoulder which spun me around in to a field. Had to walk a mile from where I was to get service to call for help. While I was getting picked up by my friends to go to the hospital as I had two displaced ribs. A Douglas county sheriff found my car and towed it. After $1k impound fee, a negotiated 12pt ticket (i had no tickets on my record at the time), my rare car being totaled, accused of being intoxicated, and all I was trying to do was dodge a deer…I sold my home and all my assets and left Colorado. This is by far the worst county to live in Colorado. My attorney said “this is how Douglas county operates.” There may be some good deputies here, but as I told the DA, you will never get any more of tax dollars.

Very rude officer directing traffic onto dodge street by valley, tried to ask for directions for another way around on my way to work today. All he would do is shake his head and say I don't know but you can't go this way. Protect and serve? Ha what a joke!

Sheriff Wheeler failed one of his own retired U.S. Military sister of arms, honorably retired, 2 medals of Courage, served in the honor guard, held a top-secret security clearance, over a she said she said domestic disturbance case that was filled with lies and deceit. He chose to choose his corrupt deputies who my lawyer thinks and now including the sheriff himself discriminated. Even with the support three different law enforcement agency agreeing that the rest was a wrongful arrest and one of his own investigators supporting still made the decision to ignore the righteousness of this veteran. Shame on you Sheriff Wheeler you deserve this statement.

They enjoy restricting people's constitutional rights. Using misdemeanor offenses as disqualifiers. I had to sue them. Go to court and show that I was never guilty of the accused crime. Which magically appeared In my record. The judge overruled their denial of a gun permit. Who is a sheriff to be restricting people's constitutional rights. Let's not get started on the unconstitutional nature of omaha's city ordinance about mandatory gun registration.
