We visited today right when they opened and spoke with a ranger at the gate. My son loves the forest and is super interested in rangers and how they take care of the area. That ranger left a bag of forest fire prevention goodies on our car and our four year old was beyond thrilled. Thank you so much for continuing his love of the outdoors!

Great park. There is a neat picnic shelter, plenty of tables, a fire tower, and a lake with ducks, turtles and fish! The picnic shelter can be rented and there is a 2-sided fireplace. Bathrooms are close to the shelter.

No they are open with winter hours. From Nov. 1 - End of Feb. they are open Tues.-Fri. 9am-5pm. Closed Sat. - Mon. and of course closed for holidays.

Yes they are open on Sundays but the park just officially opened back up on March 1 I believe. The park is closed during the winter months.
