Camped there. Nice campground.

The campsite is well taken care of. The site keepers do a good job of coming around to offer wood for the fire or to give the weather report. The bathhouse is clean. We learned that if you go to the pond at 9 AM you can help feed the fish! It was a great trip.

Nice park

We spent Wednesday 8/24 - Sunday 8/28 at the park. It was awesome, great walking trails, and lots of pavement to walk on as well. Alice was a great camp host, and very accommodating, and welcoming. We also met Duane park manager, real hands on guy, and also asked if we had any questions or needed anything just flag him or Alice down. Sites are very private, showers and toilets were clean. Would highly recommend!

It's open before that . I camp there and have been riding my bike way before 7:30 am
You should be able to see the pics online that they have or go to the office I don't know if they give tours of the cabins there basically two rooms one room has two bunk beds that sleeps 4 another room has a queen size bed that sleeps too then there's a counter for you to put your stuff on outside the cabins there's a fire pit a picnic table they're very nice cabins
They are about 100 yards away.
Shower houses, cabins and pavilions reopen April 15 for the 2018 season. North and South canoe access roads are now open . Some exercise areas or equipment are closed on the fitness trails due to fallen trees.
There is a back loop with a few spots that's on a first come basis if you're feeling lucky.
Ice & Fire Wood can be found at the Dollar General right down the road going into Charleston.
Cabin will open the 15th. Go to https://camp.exploremoreil.com Fox ridge state park To make a reservation

No.
Yes. 1 non-electric site. $10/night
Yes there's ample prairie to hunt.
Considering they'll let you can there in the winter i would have to say yes.
no it is open except one little room thar has the sinks and serving windows but none of it has a/c
The Embarass River runs by/through the park. If you have your own kayaks, you could put in up river and acces the park from the river. There is a pond/small lake in the park. I don't think swimming is allowed there. In any case, I wouldn't advise it. The lake is used by a local university to conduct studies of the fish in that lake. My grandchildren enjoyed going down to the river, walking along the sand bar, and looking at the many types of shells they found there. To sum up, there is no designated swimming area. Any swimming opportunity you find would be at your own rsk, and not kid friendly, in my opinion.
Yes you can ..
Sites include electric only. There is a dump station at the entrance to the campground. Several hydrants located throughout the campground make it an easy walk to fill a water container. A very nice shower house (including flush toilets) is just a short walk from even the furthest campsite.
Open all winter
