Have not been there for a long time. I must say, by far this is the best restaurant in Mattoon and Charleston. We had the most charming waiter Jordan, a young man of 18 who knew how to wait on the table. A smile, and acknowledge of how to address customers. The food was exquisite. We started out with appetizers, mushrooms. They were wonderful. I had pork chops tender and moist and very good. My husband had a steak cooked to perfection. The roads were warm and fresh. The salad was fresh. According to the dining room one could see very quickly why this restaurant is number one. Lots of customers. I spoke to the Alex the manager afterwards. I congratulate him on a great crew. I told him about the food and how I value this restaurant as number one.

The service was good. The food taste great. Why the three stars you ask. The portion of Cajun chicken I received was one breast cut in half. Wish I took a picture. I hope this was just a mistake. Your menu states that you get two boneless skinless chicken breasts. One breast cut in half is not worth $16. Leaving hungry and won't be back.

We had a great visit. We got there in time for happy hour apps and had the nachos. They were covered with yummy melty cheese!! We both ordered the ribeye. They were cooked to our liking but sadly were not seasoned. We had to salt them ourselves. The salads were good and the salad plate was nice and cold! The garlic mashed were good and had plenty of garlic flavor.

Hi! Yes we are. You can pick them up any day between 4 and 9. If you would prefer, you can also call during the same time and a manager can take down information and have it mailed to you.
Not this month, it was a special during October. Keep checking in upcoming months. Trapper may bring it back. 😁

We have dined at least 6 times at Alamo. The service has always been good and the food excellent. Pricing is reasonable for a good steakhouse. I'm looking forward to our next visit. As for prices not being on the menu I'm not sure what you are referring to. I know at the restaurant they are and I believe on the web menu as well. I highly recommend Alamo for a great time and excellent food.
