Found a piece of hard black plastic, about the size of a dime, in my "Pork Delight". Almost broke a tooth on it. Showed it to the manager who said it was a mussel shell! I asked her what a mussel shell was doing in the Pork Delight? She said she would show it to the cook. As far as the manager was concerned, that was the end of the discussion. Silverware was greasy with food residue. Wasabi at sushi buffet was undergoing some weird phase separation phenomenon with slimy liquid floating on top. Used to be a good place to eat. If you still feel the need to eat here be sure to get a tetanus shot beforehand.

You can't go wrong at Joy Wok. Such a variety. Reasonable, clean, food is really good. If you don't know what your hungry for, Joy Wok is the place. Especially if you like crawfish, they do a Great job. One of my favorites. The help are very friendly, prompt cleaning your table, and filling your drinks.

I went here for lunch the Saturday before last and woke up the next morning very ill with food poisoning and needed about 3 days to recover. I had eaten here 8 to 10 times in the past with no problems so figured it was safe, but the city inspection from my complaint found 5 critical violations and 8 noncritical violations. I won't eat here again.

I've been to a few chinese buffets in the KC area and they are all pretty similar, but what I've noticed is that the Liberty Joy Wok location is that the food is pretty good. It is Americanized Chinese food so itll have the grease and I'm not that sure of they use MSG. Though to just plainly answer your question, its definitely better than most buffets. The waiters are fast and nice, since it being a buffet they just get your drinks and give you your bill. The seating is nice, but some of the tables are a little loose not that big of a deal though. The atmosphere is like the overland park location so it's pretty good. If you really like chinese food it's worth a trip especially with others.

No. Been going there regularly for years and pretty disappointed recently Prices are WAY up. Lunch during the week without a drink is almost $13. Thanksgiving was $25 without a drink but did include two individual crab legs - not clusters - and very small. Same buffet items they've had for at least five years. Probably won't be going back - kind of sad. Just got stuck in their ways and now greedy too
