Always a good time. Picnic tables with grills, sand beach, boating, kayaking, jet ski, fishing, playground, but the bathrooms r always disgusting by noon.

Quiet place to be with family. Good order and cleanliness. Tables and grill free of charge and clean. Only that there was no point or center of sale to buy food and light drinks

It's a camping site in Illinois about 1 hour drive from St. Louis. You can swim and fish here. But needs a license to fish. I like the area as it is beautiful. The drawback is there are too many flies and it's not a good place to grill your meats. The restroom is very clean.

Depends on the weather sometimes there was a beach stay open till October other times they don't you can ask Carlyle Lake Association
