I stayed in the off season and was disappointed by closure of some of the trails. However staff were helpful and friendly and the campground was kept in pretty good condition; very clean. I would just recommend some night lighting and bug zappers. I tried my hand at fishing but wasn't very lucky only managing a hard head. I did get to see some manatees though.

Bring bug spray. Stay in the eco tents if you can. Only AT&T gets service down here. If you need communication with your partner your best bet might be walkie talkies. Civilization is more than an hour away as well as cell service so be prepared bring your food. There is a marina store but it's not always open. And things are twice as much. All of the staff we encountered were very nice and knowledgeable. Excellent place to hike and explore nature. But beware watch out for alligators.

Thank you very much Linda very helpful you too Joey
Yes, there is firewood available for purchase. You can buy it where you check in at the campground entrance
Like Lydia said. Just check out the website. Rates may change.
I cant confirm on the pets allowed but be prepared to keep dogs on a leash especially near the water as the crocodiles will be nearby or on the boat ramp. Be cautious about the mosquitos right now 2.5 weeks ago we were swamped with about 200 arriving at the eco tents. Deet buys about 15mins, there are 1/2 body over shirt nets that work well sold at the store there or probably cheaper at walmart. They are out in force in the summer I counted 100 bites on my wife after 2 days
No, gas only.
Yes!
You might be taking about Larry and Penny Tomson park in Miami
not at the campground... call the store before the camp ground inside the park.
Check out recreation.gov, or download the app of the same name. It's a portal to many if not most of the NPS (and other unique) campsites.
I didn't notice any last winter. Mosquitos are another story...
I work in flamingo campgrounds. We have a trailer loop with electricity. 45 a night. There is a dump station and water in front of the bathrooms
Not certain.
And I wouldn't go this time of the year, the bugs will eat you up.. It's more a fall, winter time thing, unless you like lots of bugs,
I lost t mobile signal a few minutes after entering the Everglades and enjoyed every minute of it.
Not from trees but there is plenty of room if you have a stand with your hammock.
Yes, water, gas, some food, souveniers, and, that travel necessity: ice cream.
They are open, facilities are open and maintained by a private company. Was there until the 1st and was able to take hot showers, and get more ice for the cooler.
Also there are sharks, stingrays and crocodile.
