I sing in the choir for the traditional sanctuary services at our downtown Raleigh church. There are also contemporary-style services with a talented band on-site and a more gospel-style service at our Southeast Table satellite location. All services offer weekly communion. I've been a member of the church for 8 years and am proud of its commitment to excellence in worship, meaningful programming for people of all ages, and generous community involvement. We care about racial and economic justice and equity, though we are still learning and growing. We are blessed with thoughtful pastors, capable staff, and willing volunteers. I think the congregation is warm and friendly, and I hope we are welcoming to everyone.

Beautiful church. Right in the middle of Raleigh historic district.

I lived at the Methodist Home for Children and this was and still is an institution of faith for me. So many genuinely kind and good people make this place so very special. Judge Barnett taught the Old Testament story by story. Great memories. I stay connected online. Genuine grand and huge are my words for this worship center. I feel the love of God there and the love follows me.

Went here for an all day organ workshop during a National Pastoral Musicians Convention in Raleigh. Church was lovely, and the hosts from the church were delightful, including lunch recommendations nearby which turned out wonderfully. The pipe organ is magnificent. Don't let anyone tell you this is an easy walk from The Marriot hotel and the Convention Center. Take a Lyft! Not sure if the city bus line is a good option because I'm not familiar with the routes.

Most of the building is accessible by ramps or elevators. To enter, go to the covered entrance of the Curtis Center lobby from the church parking lot. There are elevators next to the entry desk. There are parts of the basement, such as the choir room, and the sanctuary chancel area, that are accessible by stairs only. Is there a specific area you're concerned about?
I noticed that no one responded to you. I understand that it has been two years, but extended stay is a good idea. Or look for places outside of Raleigh. I truly do hope that you found something. But, this church doesn't help with that. They have a program to help with bills, but finding a apartment is not what they specialize in
Yes! If you go to our website www.esumc.org, there is a link to livestream. You can also go to previous sermons at www.esumc.org/sermons Thanks for reaching out!
Yes, but by appointment only.
Yes. Many ministries have need of volunteers!
Edenton Street does not have a cemetery, nor did it back then. And the columbarium does not date back to 1906. Thanks for asking and good luck in your search!
Good question. I don't see it on the public calendar; the private calendar (requiring logging in) nor the upcoming events. I really hope they did not discontinue it.
I would guess at 500 to a thousand. I never gave it much thought.
