Employee prejudiced discriminated and treated me with a racist manner. My name is Elias, 31, a working professional serving the society every day with respect and integrity. On Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 11:30 AM, I walked into the USPS store located at 1109 Woodland St, Nashville, TN 37206 and asked the counter employee who was a male with brown hair, at around 11:30 AM, which package color should I use to get the shipment abroad as fast as possible. He did not know and asked me to try any package. I stood in line and broke conversation with others as usual and was talking about how I grew up abroad in Lebanon and that my parents still live there, and all the good stuff! Suddenly, at 11:44 AM, the counter worker yelled over “USPS does not accept international shipments after 11:30 AM or 30 minutes before they close the establishment” which was 12 PM for this store on this day. >In my mind, I’m thinking, he could have told me this right when I entered and asked him about the international shipment package option, I needed< I asked the same worker what document states this store rule as I had never in the past seen push back from the same store or other USPS stores on shipping international 30 minutes before close. The worker did not know what the document number was and had to walk back to the supervisor and ask them while making others wait in line a longer time. He returned with the news that his supervisor does not know what the document number is nor recalls what page number was it. The worker offered me to go to another location which was 45 minutes away. I was not convinced by this news at all and respectfully asked him to inform his supervisor that knowing such document number would be a lot more convincing to a customer than simply stating some random store rule that may not have any basis. After I returned home and re-assessed the situation, I couldn’t find any USPS store rules stating minimum time before close for international shipments. I strongly believe the worker and his supervisor acted in a prejudice, discriminate and a racist manner towards my person after they knew I was Arabic Lebanese. Or maybe my enthusiasm had disturbed his peace!!!! To negate my claim, can you please post the document location in your response? Where on the website, send me the link, please.

Love this post office! The people that work there are so nice. They let me “hand cancel” (or hand stamp) my beautiful wedding invitations. Great service if you’re sending beautiful calligraphed invitations that you don’t want to go through the machines and get stamped with a giant barcode.
