I have been with State Employees Credit Union for approximately ten years and l always enjoy going to their "brick and mortar", going online or if l have a question, speaking with an employee on the phone. It's always been a pleasant experience. I have always found their employees to be very helpful.

I use to have an account with SECU but i closed it. Can i re-open a new checking accunt? I am a local government employee

It depends on the reason that checking account was closed. If it doesn't have anything to do with any charged off accounts or delinquencies then yes you should be fine opening a new checking account. If there ARE charged off accounts, it's possible the branch will let you open a Cashpoints Global account. But yeah, if you're a LGFCU member you can open a checking account just fine.
