Sadly this hotel was probably one of the worst I’ve ever stayed in. Made a reservation online for a pet friendly room with two queen beds. Was quoted $132 for my stay, in addition to a $22 pet fee. Kinda pricey, but the pictures online made the hotel look decent. Boy was I wrong. We pulled into the parking lot on the day our reservation was for, and first thing I see is Ontario PD leaving the area where multiple hotels are located, including Clarion Inn. Great. Looking through the parking lot, lots of questionable vehicles parked around the hotels, many with significant damage and looking mighty tempting for anyone looking to break into some cars. Needless to say we pulled almost everything out of our vehicle which was quite a task as we were road tripping. Entered the hotel and a very nice young man was working the counter. The hotel’s single saving grace was its very nice staff. I appreciated their kindness and obvious attempts to make the most of this falling-apart hotel. Hotel itself was dreary looking from the outside in. At first, I thought our room was relatively clean, but on closer inspection I located tiny black bugs in both of the queen beds, in addition to stains and hair that didn’t belong to any of us. On a positive note I did appreciate that the room was cool and didn’t smell like pets, especially since it was a dog friendly room. Liked that our back slider went straight to a grassy area so I didn’t have to go far to take our two dogs out. The following day I noted two charges on my credit card, one for $132 and another for $22. Now at first I thought the $22 was included in the $132, as that price was already pretty steep for the really poor quality of the hotel, but alas after calling to verify this, it was not. If the $132 wasn’t worth it, the $154 was 1000% not worth it. Overall would absolutely not recommend this hotel to anyone I know for any amount of stay.

The staff was very pleasant! The free breakfast at the Country Kitchen was delicious and very fast. It even included the drinks. The queen beds were very comfortable and new. The room was very clean. We would definitely stay again. Also the price was low.

Wow! The value at this location is off the charts! Fantastic, clean facility. The staff is friendly and over the top helpful. They have a HUGE parking lot for trailers! Breakfast!! If only every Choice Hotel chain group offered a real fresh-cooked, to-order breakfast for free!! This location is on our “will stay again” list for sure!!

Relatively clean besides a stain on the wall, hair on my bed and the bathroom ceiling. The free breakfast is pretty decent. Pool is pretty small and Hot-tub was closed. Staff is really nice. Only problem is that you share your balcony with neighbor room and if you are on the ground floor your glass door is out into the open making it feel less secure. It does also have a gym and is all over pretty decent. Decoration could be better because it is kinda old.

It's a flawed rating system to be sure but if you were to stay in the available local competition (as I have) then it would be more apparent how it stands out in comparison anyway. I can only rate based on my experience while staying which is relatively short I will say, late check ins and out by 9AM at the latest. Compared to other local properties I have found this place to be consistently clean, more amenities and a staff on hand 24 hours, some places you are on your own after 10 or 11 until sometime the next morning. I will say this is in context to travel stays, not vacation stays, so I would judge based on slightly different criteria if staying an extended period and be a bit more peculiar in terms of expectations
