The ABSOLUTE WORST Chinese restaurant in Niles. Food was cold and bland. Also had metal shavings in the beef. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. If it was possible to give a negative star rating, it would be a -100.

If no stars was an option I would give it. I don’t know if it was possible for the rice to be any drier then what it was. Both the white and fried were equally horrible. Sweet and sour chicken. The breading was still raw and the chicken was rubbery. The sweet and sour itself was the equivalent to a jar of jelly from jewel. They weren’t busy at all so that wouldn’t qualify for an excuse. I would take a hard pass on this place and search elsewhere.

Their food is outstanding. The quality and quantity are well worth it. They have been in business for over 20yrs! I am sorry you had a bad experience but I have never had an issue. It is not unforseen that they wouldn't give you a discount without a physical copy of the coupons. We are all struggling at this time so I understand both sides. However, China Star is a reputable business with many years of excellent service. I would encourage you to give them a second chance.
They take my order and my credit card number over the phone with no problem. They do have moderately heavy accents but understand English very well.
