I live in a rural area & have had UnWired Broadband for almost 4 years- there's never been an issue. I'm always happily recommending them to friends & they love & appreciate their service too. 10/10

I’ve been with unwired for about a year and the service is great. I feel like the amount we pay isn’t terrible. My problem is they shut me off for nonpayment a week after I made my payment. I checked my online acct and it says my payment was made but I still owe 155 and I can’t figure out why I owe this. I haven’t missed any payments. I’m very confused. Super upset and I hope they fix this problem

I would say unwired is neither good or bad, but it is at the least an option. My main problem for the ~4 years I had the service is priced for the speeds. They started me off with 8 mbps down and ~2 mbps up for $139.99/month. A year into the service I was upgraded to 10 mbps down and 2.5 mbps up and the next year i went up to 12 mbps down and 2.75 mbps up. After that I never received a follow up "upgrade." I ended up leaving them for starlink in November 2021 and pay $20 less for about the same service and 10 times the download speed. The next thing that bothered me was their claim of low latency. The latency wasn't a deal breaker due to suffering with old copper dsl lines in the past. While gaming I experienced latency of 80 to 160 ms in some games and it varied in that range from day to day. I'd say the average latency over the ~4 years had to be around 110 to 120ms and that is with me being close to their service tower. Where unwired did what it needed to was during the pandemic. I was able transition to online classes with the rare occasional small droppout in my durring zoom lectures. In conclusion, it is an option it's stable enough to get the job done but it isn't very fast. I wouldn't recommend to anyone unless one they dropped the price of their services to something more reasonable or two the person was in desperate need for internet.

Wireless services are provided over the air over large distances. This requires radios; not your average home wireless router. Transceivers are mounted on towers and a parabolic, focused dish on your house pointed at the nearest tower. Supporting this infrastructure is NOT inexpensive, however, if you are in an un-served (or poorly served) area that they cover, its up to the user to decide if it is financially acceptable. Compared to other radio based ISP's (called WISPs), UBI is very competitive and reliable.
5mbps down 1.5upload

I'm a gamer no problem playing or watching streaming programing.
I have the 10mb plan and i get about 1.7mb/s download 2.2mb/s upload on my pc i use for gaming but on my xbox its much faster than that. pretty good for gaming if you live in a really rural area.
