No, this is not the same thing as having insurance.

When I had my eye exam with them they gave me a voucher for a free pair of glasses.
I tried to call them to make an appointment. They received my call and said, "just a second." After 20 to 30 Seconds, they disconnected my call.

They have a sliding scale for paying. So I would think if you don't have income they wouldn't charge. But you could always call and ask as well. They even have people that will help you get on Medicaid.

Yes they take patients who don't have insurance. They use what's called a sliding scale for the payments.
