I am only giving this Deputy Registrar two stars out of five; the main reason is because the thin metal benches at that location, are extremely uncomfortable to sit on for extended periods, such as a thirty minute wait. I've been on the New York City subways and buses, which utilize plexiglass seats, which are far more comfortable, than the junk benches, at the Lancaster, OH Deputy Registrar's office. I can't believe the incompetent bureaucrats, who ostensibly decided to save a few dollars, by installing those horrible benches. I've been to other Deputy Registrars in Ohio, and other governmental offices, and I never saw such despicable benches for the public. I wish that I could fire those who were responsible for that stupid decision. Secondly, whereas there were some clerks who were nice at that location, there were others who were not nice. One loud mouth in particular at the far left end, was shouting out instructions in a very loud voice, which was rude and discourteous, in addition to being annoying. Another clerk didn't know how to greet people, or to even look at them. It appeared that the lines were moving very slowly, because only certain clerks were assigned to a certain task. It makes no sense to be tortured for over one half an hour, at that location.

No
Is there currently a long wait to get license?
Depends on how much time you want
I believe they open at 8 until 5 weekday and Saturday they're open I believe from 8 until 2
That part is closed monday .
Thank you all😁
If you pay fine and reinstatement fees, u don't have to if it's expire not more then 6 months. Otherwise you have to start from temporary permit then road test. I mean you have to start over all processes.
Cost
Neither. Just go renew your registration when it's time. They will ask if your address has changed. Let them take care of the rest. No need to worry
Maybe busy
Yes
The social security office gives you a paper with ss# and name to use to get id she needs to get birth certificate. My Daughter had all her stuff stolen and that's what she did. Took birthcerficate to ss
I think it's like 42.00.. Call to be sure.
S.S, Birth Certification, proof of residency,
What paper work do I need in order to switch my drivers license from florida to Ohio?
If you are getting a renewal you should be able to show them your driver license and tell them you need tags.
No mask requirement.
No, they are closed for Juneteenth. I was there last week they had signs up
You will need your social security card. Copy of you lease, or a bill with a current address, and birth certificate. We were just there this morning doing that and we came from Virginia.
Yes
Yes
I don't think so but you can check in online and it'll give you a wait time
I just got my CDL permit, so idk if it's different for renewing or updating, but all I needed was my current license and birth certificate. If you don't have a birth certificate I believe a passport will work as well
I'm not sure but I don't see why they wouldn't accept checks. If you renew your sticker for your tags through the mail they accept personal checks so I don't see why they wouldn't take them at the BMV. It wouldn't make sense for them not to accept checks but I'm not positive so you never know. Sorry that I couldn't help more but I usually never pay by check lol
Yes you can.. They are scheduling out like a month though! Also if you go online to bmv.ohio.gov you can schedule it online.
Is it the temp or actual driving? If driving you need a mask and license driver even if you are over 18
No....
Take them back with yoyr receipt
The driver's license testing is separate from the deputy registrar. I believe that it is 3:30 and only a few days a week. Watch someone else do the course on a day that you are not testing and take mental notes Good luck
No, the young lady inside the office will ask you a series of questions and then take your temperature. I recommend getting online and registering in advance to cut a 2 - 3 hour wait down to a little under an hour.
Fairly certain they are operating under normal hours, the website says 8am

On or before your birthday.
Yes it does I would take and call up there and see what their procedure is whether you have to make an appointment to do the test and then make the appointment for the driving test make sure everything is working on your motorcycle and also you have the proper equipment how many and everything while you do the test they will take in take your name and number and if they are busy you will go sit out in your car until they text you and then you are to go in from there that's what the license plate part is it may be a little different because it may not be as busy as of course the license part good luck and hope you enjoy that wind therapy

Because the roads are maintained with the tax on gasoline. Hybrids and electric cars pay less or no taxes to maintain the roads. The fee is an estimate of what fuel taxes the average car would have paid. Don’t shoot the messenger....lol. I’m just passing on the answer.
My understanding is you CAN make appointment, but it didn't seem to make a difference. You still waited in line
You can make an appointment online at: bmv.ohio.gov/#gsc.tab=0
https://ohiobmvappt.cxmflow.com/ (also you can search get in line online)
If it is just a duplicate title or having a notarized title put into your name you only need your ID and the notarized title or info about the vehicle for a duplicate title (and money to pay for it, of course).
Most of your information can be done online but in order to receive your license it's still 1st come 1st served.
Cash,Check, Credit Cards & Debit Cards
You dont need one but if you register online you will have a shorter wait. When you go you still have to check on either way. Make sure you have your documents too as they will ask when you check in.
If you have an appointment yes!!
No, we did a walk in. 10 mins in/out
I just want to clarify that we do not process titles at this office. You would need to contact your local title office. They can be found at ohiobmv.gov and click on BMV locations.
Idk about hard plates. But I believe you can transfer plates you already have and renew tags online. I think you might have to actually go in to register a new car
No. When you move States you only have 30 days after establishing residency to get a new license for the state you reside in. At least its 30 days here in Ohio. Other states may be different but I would check to be sure
What are you wanting to accomplish?
No
Yes. You don't have to schedule for that temp test just the driver exam
If you get a letter in the mail, you can do it 6 months before.
Original birth certificate, proof of residency any divorce papers
Yes
You need documents that show these five things: Full legal name Date of birth Legal presence in US Social security number (2) documents showing your Ohio street address For these I'm going to use passport, w2, and 2 utility bills. That would cover everything. If you don't have a passport, your birth certificate can replace that.
They have their own power of attorney form that needs filled out I do not believe it needs to be notarized but it does need to be filled out and taken with you along with your identification
If you have license all u got to do is vision test. If u pass bison test you can change it to Ohio license. Ohio bmv need some more document other then id
I believe it is 1 week
It is out on liberty Drive off of W. Fair Ave. across from the anchor Hocking distribution Center it’s the first building on your left as you go in through the unmanned gate house
Yes
Yes they do. It cost 3.50 and you have to take the vehicle and title with you.
Either your title or registration and your drivers license
I believe you must answer at least 75% correct. I’m not sure how many questions that is wrong exactly.
No
Yes you can. I did it there and live in licking county
Yes
Yes u can get plates here & i've never heard of needing an e check
Legal guardian
If she wait until she’s 18 like I did she doesn’t even need the schooling, just can immediately take the test and the maneuverability test right after getting her temps.
