We enjoyed every moment of the evening of our first visit. Very ambient restaurant with lots of love and nice staff. I will return here over and over again for romantic eatery with my wife

Went previously for my girlfriend and I’s anniversary, which was quite lovely, to be honest, and decided to return for her birthday, for what I assumed would be the perfect spot for another special occasion. It was not. In fact, it was an absolutely horrific experience. The service was fine; the food made me physically ill. Never thought I’d get food poisoning from a place like this, but here we are. I left a note in my reservation, in hopes to inform the restaurant that this had happened, and received a call promptly the next morning, which started apologetic then turned accusatory. The manager actually had the audacity to imply that “something like this has never happened before in our restaurant” … “am I sure it wasn’t a food allergy?” and further push that what I was saying wasn’t truthful. When I said I have no food allergies and have the utmost confidence that what happened was food related (I’ve had food poisoning before; I know the symptoms), the manager offered to take care of our meal and wanted to send us a letter of apology from the restaurant. I initially declined but was pressured into agreement, only to receive nothing. Seriously… nothing. I work in the service industry so I understand the cost that comes with a this decision, so I really didn’t want it, but then to be pushed into agreement, only to be left on the hook was, at best, odd. Then to receive nothing was borderline appalling. This was without a shadow of a doubt the WORST experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant. And mind you, I spent $700+ to dine here. What an absolute joke. I’d leave them 0 stars if I could.

Excellent place for a special occasion but cost prohibitive for a regular night out.

The food is AMAZING! The servers were very attentive. The atmosphere is very classy. I love that the chef has the freedom to create a new menu every day! It makes going back to the refectory exciting! Portions are smaller to allow for more things to try on the menu.

Not factoring in the cost of beverages, average range would be $120-140 before tax and gratuity.
They have excellent COVID-19 safety practices including masks, distancing and ventilation.
Not sure but they are pretty accommodating. I would call to be sure.
Call or they have a pretty in depth website
The Refectory will do WHATEVER is necessary, even if they don't do gift cards, they will create one for you.... Having said that, yes they do gift cards.
Don't think so. The food really isn't up to par.
Call and talk to them. They will plan whatever you wish. Music events are often spectacular, usually with 3 courses. Explained on the website. Highly, so highly recommended.
Anywhere from business casual to fancy dress is acceptable for dinner at The Refectory.
