Ditto guys.
Mr Sand
Literally the most unhelpful place I've been to. Needless hurdles you have to jump through and they look at you and say "nothing we can do"
Outdoor Adventures
They have no capability of handling out of town customers efficiently. You have to go into their office to get your services set up. We have an investment property in the area, are not local, and they refuse to set up service unless we either come to their office or scan and e-mail countless forms that have to be scanned. This is 2022. This is not required. We bought the property electronically, a much more complicated process then keeping water running. This is lazy on their part.

Call your water department
It depends upon Your geographic/physical location. Tagnipahoa Water District covers all of Tanipahoa Parish; however, Each City has its own Sewage & Water Utilities Division. For Example: Ponchatoula Sewage & Water, Hammond Water Works, and there are 3-4 Water Utility Companies in just the Amite area. Your best bet would be to contact the Tangipahoa Dept of Public Works via their website = Tangipahoa dot org under “Public Works”, they should have a phone number and/or email address available, and then give them Your physical address information, and ask them which City Sewage Utility Division is responsible for Your location. Good Luck!
In case anyone else has questions about “Boil Advisories”, You can sign up on “tangiwater” dot com, to receive either Email or SMS Text Alerts, and they will advise when ever a Boil Alert is Placed or Removed or if there is any up-coming line testing. I get the Alerts and highly recommend everyone sign up, it definitely helps to be in “the know”. For Example: I knew when they did line flushing (+that I needed to run the hose if any ‘brown water’ occurred), and more recently this week, Line Smoke Testing, and if any smoke seen in home to call a Plumber. Know what is happening definitely keeps One’s ‘panic’ factor at Zero, if anything unusual occurs. Just F.Y.I. to my Neighbors & the Community. Have a Great Day!
