Questions & Answers

I have two questions. 1) Is overnight parking permitted? 2) Are you allowed to primitive camp on the land across the way. We were considering launching our kayaks here and camping in the Forrest across the way. Thanks!

The answer to both is no. Its day use only. Its patroled by the sheriff department . Most of the land around the reservoir is owned by the power company. You could ask the sheriff department or the Wilmington police to verify

Is the water up or down for sitting purposes

That kind of a thing can vary by the hour and they even sound a horn to alert you to a sudden change in water level so this is not the best place to learn of such information. I have seen the water level quite low and other time very high.

My first time was last week. It was a mix of all, but also on a holiday, so I'm not sure what the "usual" scene is. Everyone was pleasant, polite, respectful...just enjoying nature, as naturists. I'm looking forward to returning!
