The answer to both is no. Its day use only. Its patroled by the sheriff department . Most of the land around the reservoir is owned by the power company. You could ask the sheriff department or the Wilmington police to verify
As far as i know yes u can but as the other guy said make sure they didn't change the rules for this year
That kind of a thing can vary by the hour and they even sound a horn to alert you to a sudden change in water level so this is not the best place to learn of such information. I have seen the water level quite low and other time very high.
I have seen several well-behaved dogs with their owners, both on shore and in kayaks or boats in the water.
My first time was last week. It was a mix of all, but also on a holiday, so I'm not sure what the "usual" scene is. Everyone was pleasant, polite, respectful...just enjoying nature, as naturists. I'm looking forward to returning!
