I had my FIRST appointment with Doc Helmstetter this morning & I have ONE word to describe him: ENERGETIC! I love this man! Wherever he goes to practice medicine, I WILL follow! I've been searching and searching for an impeccable PCP like this man for as long as I can remember - and today I feel my search can come to an end! He is funny, caring, highly motivated, just has ALL the qualities I look for in a physican - he does not rush you out; he takes the time to actually listen; not hear you, but ACTUALLY listen! If you're not perked up if you have an morning appointment with him - grab a cup of Folgers 'cuz he is on high brew! The DO after his name gotta stand for "DAMN OUTSTANDING!"

I've gone to this location several times for blood work and they are consistently wonderful! On every occasion that I've gone, the staff were so friendly. I've been to other places for medical services where the receptionist makes you feel like a bother or is simply rude. This Ochsner lab location has been the exact opposite! I've also gone ahead of my scheduled appointment and I've always been accommodated and seen quickly. Their phlebotomists are also friendly and I have never had an issue with their ability to draw my blood. I don't normally leave reviews on places, but each time I've gone, I left thinking that the staff deserve some praise because they are that good!
