IM SO GLAD THEY OPENED BACK UP. THE BATTER IS LIGHT SO U CAN ENJOY THE MEAT. EVERYTHING IS FRIED FRESH. I EAT HERE AT LEAST A COUPLE TIMES A MONTH.

Yes we order a medium shrimp and a pound of perch the medium shrimp was so small it look like it was just is the end piece of shrimp shred it off with crust on it and it was greasy and also the customer service stinks the perch was greasy and it was four pieces for little pieces and it was greasy it wasn’t worth it it was a waste of my dinner when I call back he hung up on me customer service very rude do not recommend

This place has it all!!! The shrimp and cod fillets are amazing...the perch fillets were amazing, and they have got good frog legs or so I heard

I bought one of the specials, a pound of shrimp for $9.99, and hush puppies. The hush puppies were good. But, I must say, they don't touch Lawrence Fish and Shrimp. The shrimp were very good. Now those, I agreed with my guy that they beat Lawrence Fish and Shrimp. Even upon looking at them, he commented that they reminded him of Goose Island's shrimp. It came with coleslaw and choice of sauce, I chose cocktail sauce. The coleslaw almost tasted bleachy, for lack of a better word. I didn't eat anymore after the first taste. The cocktail sauce was very good. I think, the best I've ever had. It actually kind of seemed like a bit of hot sauce was added to it. However... I'd asked when placing my order if the shrimp were deveined (as I've been conditioned to ask due to several disappointments with seemingly reputable establishments). Needless to say, upon heating a batch that remained until the following day, I happened upon an insufficiently deveined shrimp (yuck! We'd eaten the fresh batch while driving, not taking time to examine each shrimp!)... I have to add, though, I proceeded to remove the veins from that batch (2 out of 8, 25%) and munched away (all while disappointed & irritated with The Shack and myself, for trusting them). Hence, reminding me to add this review. I've completed my lunch. Remaining coleslaw going in the G file (Garbage) and remaining cocktail sauce going in the fridge to enjoy later!😋 As far as recommendation, I'm torn. They tout that the shrimp are wild caught & they were, indeed, very good. But I don't think I'd want to put myself through examining each shrimp... idk. Will see.😉 Will, probably at least try the other items on the menu. (Maybe after explaining what happened, they'll be more cautious/ vigilant when deveining - if done in-house.)
