Move in if you love listening to the door being constantly slammed and you love your neighbors constantly touching/stealing your laundry or leaving their clothes in the one washer and dryer that everyone has to share. Not sure why only one of each is provided for 4 apartments to share constantly creating problems. Rent is far more than enough to have 2 sets .

I have lived at Lake Heights with my partner since 2017. We started out in a basic 2 bed 1 bath unit, and after a year decided to upgrade to a 2 bed 2 bath unit within the same complex - we simply couldn't find a comparable home anywhere. You get a lot of bang for your buck here that you just can't find at other complexes (especially in the 2bd2br units) - a private, spacious storage unit, in-building laundry, dishwasher and all kitchen appliances, gas fireplace, etc. It's also super convenient to have a Walmart so close, and it's just a quick few minute drive to the village of Hamburg, 3 minutes to the 5, and 5 minutes to the I-90. When we first moved in, we also had a free Crunch fitness membership for the first year and were loaned a TV for the duration of our lease (not sure if that was a temporary promotion, but it was super convenient to have). Neighbors are generally very quiet and the leasing team is generally quick to respond to inquiries and always very friendly and helpful. Maintenance is quick as well. Our only wish list item that wasn't checked off was recycling pick up. So a pretty small sacrifice for an otherwise great place to live! We've loved living here and would be extending our lease if not for the fact that we're moving out of state. Thank you to Shannon and the rest of the Lake Heights team for taking such good care of us!

I enjoyed my time at Lake Heights Apartments. I rented a 2 bed / 2 bath unit which was updated (LTV flooring, Real tiling in the kitchen, newer appliances, fireplace). Central air and a shared washer and dryer in the basement. I also had a good sized storage unit. Parking areas need repair and parking is limited. The unit I was in you had to walk a long way bringing in groceries. Staff is friendly and professional. What cannot be controlled by Pillar Real Estate and I recommend you take this into consideration would be the neighboring tenants behavior. At times it impacted my overall enjoyment of living here. Not picking up after your dogs. Loud upstairs tenants. Driving like maniacs through the complex. Constant slamming of the main front door. Throwing garbage all over the place.

Thought I was getting myself into a nice apartment in Hamburg. Applied and got approved the same day and was told about some apartments available. When I scheduled my viewing I thought I’d be looking at a model apartment similar to what I’d be moving into. Nope! The “model” is an apartment which they use as an office but it’s full of desks/office furniture. Also was told “your wall won’t look like this it’ll come out farther in the living room.” Well as someone that’s potentially moving into your apartment, I’d like to see what your actual apartments look like. Apartment was available for 3/29, my boyfriend who came with me asked about pushing the date back to 4/1 and got an answer that that’s too late. 3 days is too late? Couldn’t view the entire lease online, it wanted me to initial at the bottom of each page before it would move to the next one. How am I supposed to initial and sign when I don’t even have all the information and can’t read the lease in its entirety? Then was pressured via text to decide on the apartment, again despite the fact that it isn’t even available for another 2 months. Informed the office that I needed some time to decide on a year long commitment and wanted to ensure I was making the best choice without feeling rushed. They then had their higher up call me and tell me “typically we only give 24 hours for a decision” well nobody informed me of that. When I went to my initial walk through I mentioned I needed to think about it. The lady on the phone told me, “you have until tomorrow to decide because there’s other people that want this.” Well now looking at the website they have several vacancies which leads me to believe they can’t fill their apartments, most likely because of the poor management and rudeness of the Pillar company.
