My blind uncle brought his seeing eye dog on the tour. Beautiful purebred golden retriever named Taffy. It saw a beaver swimming near the shoreline and it jumped off the boat. The undertoe swept it under and I believe it was sucked through the water turbines at the hydro power plant as Taffy never did resurface. Nobody saw it coming, especially not my uncle. Ever since he asks about Taffy all the time because he's blind and we tell him that she went deaf and can't hear his commands anymore because we're afraid of what it would do to him if he learned what really happened to her.

They go up through locks 34 and 35, then a little further, turn around, go back through the 2 locks,and a little farther , turns around and back to the dock. Takes about 1hr 45 minutes. Very interesting! Recommend it!
