Clean park with good options for the kids. Beware: almost no shade! So maybe don't go on am extremely hot day. It's clean and with looooots of space for the kids to run around.

Great splash pad and playground every summer! Just beware the playground can get pretty hot on those hot days.

This park is one of Raleigh's gems, great for children, sports activities, great track and water sprinklers! The inside Recreation Center is perfect for year round classes and other events. There is also a indoor track!! The City of Raleigh did it right when this historic site was restored!!! Love this park!

I know it was a black man who did some great things in that community. My dad built the new apartments they have there now where they were called Chavis heights. Pretty brick apartments. Hope they haven't torned them all to pieces yet like they do everything else in downtown raleigh
