You should only have to do your 8 hr over again. I believe star would have you email someone to get proof so you can just do a 8hr annual. You should go up there and they will be able to assist you.

We accept payment during business hours. We hold an 8 Hour Annual course each day Monday-Saturday 9 AM-5 PM. Registration is 8 AM-9 AM on the day you wish to attend. Bring your NYS Security Guard License with $50 or proof of payment each time you register for an 8 Hour Annual course.

No, a job is not automatic. After you get your license, you need to apply for jobs with hiring companies. Our website offers some hiring companies and contact. Online job sites like Indeed.com lists openings and you can apply online. You'll need a resume.
