If you pass your fireguard exam without a recommendation you will get a temporary license from the fire department
When you start working you get a recommendation letter from your employer and take it to them. If you did the fire guard class with star security they would've gave you a recommendation letter and you would receive your card the same day you pass the fire guard test. I hope this helps.
