The treatment I received warranted a review of this medical facility. I have been taking my kids here for the past year. With the same provider Georgia Plum, since then. Today I went in for a sick call visit, she was talking to my son but I explained to her my son isn’t completely proficient in English so he may be a little confused on what she was saying because his first language is Spanish. She then proceeded to ask me “well when are you going to teach him English, he’s going to fall behind” I was a little surprised by the tone and the question. When it came to explaining the instructions for the prescription she said “this will all be on the label, do you read English?”. I felt very offended at the whole situation and will take my kids some where I am treated with some respect when it comes to my background.

This is for the HOPE MILLS location. I am taken back by how I was handled on the phone! I was first yelled at rudely then out on hold only for another rude woman to come on the phone and specify they are not excepting new patients who have Medicaid! I am a working single mother with a great job my child has special needs and that is why he receives state insurance. I know I am not the only parent discriminated against because of state insurance. They did not have to yell and disclose they are not excepting NEW MEDICAID PATIENTS how she put it! She could have just said we are not accepting new patients at this moment. She made me feel like my child is not worthy of their doctors because he has Well care with Medicaid. State or private insurance pays and services should be equal to all patients or that is discrimination. I called Well care they were wonderful in helping me choose another pediatrician. As a Autism parent I face discrimination everyday and the last place I would think is a pediatric office that is put there to help patients. I cannot speak for other locations but I will say because of this location I will never go to any Rainbow pediatric location. Truly sad experience

My son has been going to Rainbow Pediatrics in Hope Mills for over 7 years. Specifically he has been seeing Mrs. Follrod, NP, who is the best! She always listens and my son loves her. When she is not available all of the Doctors there are wonderful. My son was a micro-preemie and this pediatric office has been heaven sent while making sure my son receives the best care. All the staff from the front desk (especially Tara) to the referral specialist to the nurses have always offered excellent service. They are the best in town and I appreciate them so much!!
