I waited outside for just a few minutes and then was assisted and out right away. No appointment necessary. The guard and employees were nice and made the whole process very easy. I got my new card pretty fast by mail as well.

Excellent attention. I needed to request a new social security card. I didn’t had an appointment Took less than 15 minutes.
Angela I.
Needed to get a replacement card. You walk up to door and security is there to ask what your business is, handed me a form to fill out in my car and called me over when they were ready for me. You still are asked to wear a mask when entering. Process took less than 10 mins. Friendly and efficient staff.

Yes but all the information is available online in a very easy to navigate menu. Questions can be answered over the phone, you might wait a while. Stopping at this office is also good but be prepared to wait. I will be there tomorrow and update this. The Silverton SS office is great however and after logging into the terminal with SS number and reason for visit. The number printed on the ticket gives your interview position. If you need to report new address and county. Do that through DMV. I have never needed in 50 years to do more than that and keep passport updated. All location info seems to stem from that. SS found me every time I moved.
I would like an appointment to discuss my husband's death benefit and collecting his payment. thank you
I have filled out my ss5 form for my replacement ss card what do I do now. I don't want to mail my original documents in the mail do I have to make an appointment to show original documents or do I mail in copies
Ok
If you want to go back to birth name just take proof to local SS office. ie; passport, birth cert. Marriage cert. And divorce papers. All originals no copies. Walk in. Check in for a number and wait until called they will help you and/or assist with further info if required. They are very friendly and helpful people.
Oh...I would have no idea. I'm sorry
Depends on state. In nj no appt needed
I stopped by that office during business hours a couple weeks ago. They are closed to public but will answer phones during that time. I had to mail documents to the physical address to get my business done. I'd recommend calling them first thing Monday morning, they're actually pretty helpful on the phone...at least the woman I got was!
Call the social security office in your county and make an appointment. Make sure you let them know you have original documents. Also make sure you bring a mask even if you are vaccinated, I'm vaccinated but in any federal building they still make me put on a mask. I hope this information helps you. Have a blessed day
Not sure, my suggestion is to contact the office and ask
It's not true! Report the number to social security!
Your Pension would go through Your job not SSA!!! If You're talking about Retirement or Disability Benefits You should bring Photo ID, Birth Certificate, Social Security Card, Utility Bill & Last 4 paystubs!!! I don't think they'll need all of that but it's better to have more paperwork than not having what You need!!! They open at 9am but if You want to be seen the same day I'd be there No Later Than 8:15am & wait on line. They open the door at 8:45am & on Wednesdays they close at Noon!!! I was there 2 weeks ago at 8:10am & I was the 12th person in line!!! Good Luck!!!
No she would have to contact the state services to help her
I don't believe there is a charge. You just need to go there and fill out the appropriate form
You can collect widow's pension from ss
No but you will probably have to wait about 1 and a half hours
You would have to go to the office to find out. It varies from case to case
I believe you can either call the 800 number or just go down to the office to request an appointment
Your ID whether drivers license or state ID and you have to fill out the application when you get there.. Comes in about 2 weeks but can come quicker.. My aunt had to replace hers and received hers in less than a week
Yes but it comes in the mail.
Any one can get social security "if" you meet their guidelines for SSD or SSI
Birth certificate, divorce decree and current social security card should work
You can make an appointment on the phone , but when you get there you still have to sign in until they call you.
I would give it a couple of days since the mail might be a little behind because of Thanksgiving. And yesterday WAS the 4th Thursday
Yes you can. Contact a Social Security oftice and they will give you the information you need.
Your best bet is to come to the office and speak to a claim representative
Wrong place to ask this question. Call them directly. Be patient waiting on the phone and they will fully answer your question as opposed to the lay people here.
Should be SS called me this morning. If still not sure call the number i have listed in the other posts. They will have a message if closed
Probably will not get that answer here feom SS. but i called them on the phone yesterday about something else and i received all my answers in less than an hour. See the other answers for my posting of the phone numbers generally and for this specific location.
Set up auto pay from your checking account. This can be done online at socialsecurity.gov. takes 8 to 12 weeks at the longest. Then all will be monthly
This is not the place to ask this question. As others have found you are unlikely to get any reply. SS is VERY good on the phone. They can walk you through the process as you do this o li e or you can go to the local office. Wait less than one hour depending on who is there and you will have this resolved immediately. Make sure that you take all identity info and bank check/account info with you. The employees in any office are great if you let them help you
If Federal W4V. Info can be found at irs.gov/w4v. This form can be filed at your local SS office address as searched. 190 St Catherine Blvd.
Sorry i missed this one, but for anyone else who sees this. No. See all my other answers to questions for all other info, phone number, hours, etc.
You can but not on this link. Call or go online for all Information or to schedule appt. Or just walk into any SS office. You can wait and they will see you same day
This is not the place for this kind of question. By now you will have found out so this answer is for future others. That it is just best to call the local office. Wait for a while or they will call you back if you cannot wait. The phone reps are very knowledgeable and can take a full application over the phone for Medicare. Scheduling an appointment. Or you can just walk into any SS office and wait to be seen same day. No appointment necessary.
Yes, might be better to change DL first as that might automatically change all government info and voting records. Not sure if getting a new SS card is even necessary. I am sure they can answer that over the phone to save the wait in the office just to answer the question. I will try to update this tomorrow after I meet with them.
