Come here if you’d like to be humiliated by the staff. We had a fine dinner here with lots of excellent things to say about the cocktails, olive oil cake and generous pasta portions. My issue is truly when the bill came the bartender added an extra glass of wine which we didn’t order. No big deal it happens. We mentioned it and she insisted loudly multiple times that I had in fact ordered this wine when I knew for a fact I had not. After insisting multiple times she finally took it off our bill. Once my partner went to the bathroom she continued to insist I had that glass of wine. It wasn’t a question of oh did you have that glass but “you had that glass of wine.” I felt this was extremely inappropriate given I had told her multiple times I had not had that wine and she kept stating I had. A few moments later she came over and realized her mistake since the couple next to us had ordered it. She didn’t offer an apology and just stated she realized she was wrong. I was very put off by her continued insistence that I had lied to her about a single glass of wine and how the restaurant didn’t attempt to remedy their mistake. It’s absolutely understandable that orders get mixed up but when they’re clarified I expect a restaurant to make it right and not continue to embarrass it’s clients. A very uncomfortable and off putting way to end our dinner and start our night .

Our reservations are all through RESY. Bookings open each morning at 9 AM on a rolling two week basis.
The price is resonable for this style of restaurant. It's not cheap, and it's not too expensive either. Definitely worth it!

Hey Karen, this restaurant/bar as well as the west village neighborhood is very safe. I've left here very late in the night and i never felt nervous or concerned during the walk to the nearby subway stations, hope this eases your concerns!
I believe so. No steps at the entrance and while there is an upper level, most tables are on the main floor. It is often crowded which may be more of a deterrent than anything else.
