I came to Orcutt with reservations after a bad experience with a pricier bankruptcy law firm. Thankfully, my doubts were misplaced. I worked with Kelly Early, Megan Clark and Nikki West, all of whom were professional and answered my endless questions quickly. In court, my attorney, Erica NeSmith, was fantastic and quick on her feet with the tricky questions the bankruptcy trustee asked. Overall, my entire experience with Orcutt was so much easier than I thought it would be thanks to the professionalism of the women of the firm.

I just wanted to thank you, Kelly Early, for making me feel that there was hope. I think I was connected to your office first and then transferred to one closer. I did not want to leave you out but I can't thank you enough for getting me started for my new future. The teams at the Law Office of John T. Orcutt rocks!!!

I spoke with Connie Nichols. I'm not really sure which office she works out of but she was AMAZING!!!!! She was straight forward and she was so professional. She answered all my questions with courtesy and compassion. I have never spoken with anyone in a lawyer's office that was as nice and knowledgeable as she was. Again, she was amazing.

My wife and I made the decision back in 2016 to file a chapter 13 due to situations out of our control. After spending 5 years rebuilding credit while in the chapter 13 from John Orcutt office, we had an extremely difficult time getting the mortgage reconciled upon our discharge. The mortgage company was giving us a hard time with runaround and red tape making us “current”. There were clerical errors involved however they still would not work with us. We sought guidance after the discharge from John Orcutt’s office and based on our situation we were put in contact with Jeremy Harn in the Fayetteville office. Spent over an hour consulting us on the phone and giving us options. These options went from best case to worse case and he discussed all of the possible outcomes. We left off with Jeremy feeling wiser with how we should proceed. Upon doing so and heeding his expert advise, we were not only able to maintain perfect credit, we were able to take financial steps successfully and accomplish goals that we couldn’t even had done before filing! Jeremy literally gave us the ability and knowledge after FIVE years of hard work to get us where we are. The solution he gave us as one of our options literally changed our lives. We put in the 5 years of hard work, and then got a kick in the gut with a huge line of red tape. Jeremy helped us to cut the red tape and advance on better than what we started. He is a huge reflection of what it means to understand people’s goals and ambitions and make sure he is compassionate with each unique scenario. If Mr Orcutt reads this, please make sure he extends sincere appreciation to Jeremy and all he has done for our family. Sincerely, Joe Natale

Mostly, we would need you to fill out as best you can our online paperwork. But first, you need to set up an appointment with us. Just call 1-800-899-1414. After you do, we send you an email with instructions and explaining the process. It’s all pretty easy and the appointment is free. We look forward to getting you the answers you need. John Orcutt

Good morning, my question is can you file for bankruptcy on your vehicle and still keep it?

Robert Oxendine | Oct 1, 2018
Law Offices of John T. Orcutt | Oct 1, 2018

The answer is almost always "Yes". Lots of people think that if they file bankruptcy, they are going to lose everything. This is never true. In fact, filing bankruptcy is what helps people keep their stuff, including vehicles. Bankruptcy gets rid of certain debts, hopefully enough that they can get back to paying and keeping other debts up-to-date, including loans on vehicles. The best response I can give you, without knowing everything about your situation, is to say "call and come in for a free consultation". We know our stuff and we will go over everything with you for free to show you what we can and cannot do. In the process, we will answer all your questions and concerns. Then, you get to decide whether what have to offer is right for you. I will say this: Most people are amazed at the results filing bankruptcy can achieve. Robert, thanks for your question. John Orcutt
