I visited the farm yesterday. The goats were not available for visiting (although they were visible in their fenced area, and very cute) but I had gone there to try the cheeses. I got a tasting flight for $10, which consisted of six tiny (about the size of a small fingertip) pieces of cheese, with a packet of crackers, and a half glass of their quite nice Zin for another $4 or so. I ate in the chummy company of one of the dogs, who was curled up on a chair next to me. The cheeses were quite good: a chevre; a gouda; a couple of semi-soft cheeses, one if which is wine-marbled; a crumbly cheese with jalapeno, and an unusual cheese they call Diablo Sunset. This one is a hard cheese with a cocoa/chili powder rub and a distinct earthy flavor and was the one I bought. I do wish that the cheeses for sale were displayed in their original rounds, to be sliced for sale, as is done in most cheese stores here and abroad. These were small cuts in vacuum sealed packages, displayed in wicker baskets, like you would get in grocery stores. But the people, a long-time local family, were wonderful to chat with, the wine was good, and the cheeses are worth coming back for!

The yoga class was good for all and the goats were adorable. Only one person in our party drank wine, so they were gracious enough to give the rest nonalcoholic drinks. All the cheese sampled we're delicious!! Such a fun activity.

Baby Goats! πππ So adorably cute!!β€οΈ Tonight we attended "Good Night Goats" where we read a story to the baby Goats after which they were put to bed for the night. The baby goats had very distinct personalities! Some were shy, some rambunctious, some very friendly, some hopped right on your lap, and some became very attached & comfortable with you that they actually fell asleep right on your lap! Some were a bit bigger than our cats at home. After the baby Goats were put to bed we enjoyed goat cookies with a cup of goat milk of course which was delicious! Everyone was so kind, friendly & knowledgeable regarding the goats, farm, wine & cheeses especially the "Goat Girls"π We've been to a few goat farms from Grass Valley to Half Moon Bay & this farm by far, is absolutely the best, most hands on, cleanest place to get your baby goat fix on & best of all it's only 10 minutes away from our home!!! Can't wait to come back , and taste the wines & goat cheeses. Thanks to all that put this little slice of heaven together. Will definitely be backπ
