Maria and her team at ServPro went above and beyond for us. We were experiencing symptoms of a “puffback” which we had been told was impossible since we have gas heat, but were undoubtedly seeing soot accumulation. After multiple misdiagnoses, we reached out to ServPro and the team (also thanks to Maria’s husband) was able to correctly diagnose the problem: the chimney. It was too short, downdrafting back into the home and when the house had been converted from oil to gas, the pipes were never refitted and changed out, leaving oil/soot to be distributed out from the HVAC system. Once we had a new chimney (thank you Nick at Ageless Chimney), ServPro was able to start. Maria made herself available to me for all of my questions since I had never been through this process, explained how the team would come in to clean the HVAC system, ducts, ceilings, walls and basically wipe down everything we own. I’m talking down to each individual liquor bottle, inside kitchen cabinets, everything behind the mirror in your medicine cabinet...it’s insane. They even coordinated specialized dry cleaning of drapes, bedding, pillows and clothing with no hassle; they picked up and dropped it all off. They are all total professionals, systematic, organized and respectful of their customers’ home. Without ServPro, we would still be stuck in the loop of an “impossible” problem and now we are happy to confirm that they live up to their motto “Like It Never Even Happened.”
