Thank you Mainline Rescue. We got a precious 9-10 year old Shih. mix from you on July 1st,2022. Over many years, we've had several dogs, but our precious rescue dog that we adopted from Mainline Rescue, in Chester Springs PA is by far the best dog we've ever had. We love him so much. He settled in to our home with no problem. It's like he knew from day 1, this is forever home.

Nicole is the best ! She helped us adopt “precious” the cat and we couldn’t be more happier.

Awesome staff, clean kennels and plenty of space outside for the dogs (and others) to play!

They are a fabulous organization that really cares about the animals in their care!

Yes they will help
I know a lot of dogs went to Georgetown Delaware in the last week.
Your best bet is to give them a call tomorrow and ask. I don't know the answer to your question and don't want to give you bad info especially if you are looking to adopt from them! FYI, the adoption requirements on their website are out of date and they are currently working to update the info. I volunteer there when I can and I have to tell you they are wonderful with the dogs and cats they rescue!
Please submit a surrender form which can be found on mlar.org under contact us. They will take cats if they have space for them and they are healthy. They will not put them down for space. There are cats there that have lived there several years.
Yes, there are volunteer opportunities, check on the website for requirements. They have many different options, you can walk dogs or play with cats! Check it out!
Hmmm..I dont have answer for that. I would suggest going to their website .
Call weekly they get new dogs in every week.
I gave a donation of 100 dollars for the cat I adopted from there. A 2 dollar donation wouldn't cover the cost of the shots. A normal donation for a dog is 250 but they will take less. You should at least give 100 so it covers the cost of shots and spay/neutering. Be fair, these people are awesome and they really care about the animals in their care.
Their website has all the cats that are up for adoption. I believe they have a few orange and white cats.
Jay how can you just give up your dog. Dogs are so loyal. Idk how long you had your dog but you're going to break your dogs heart. Thts so sad. I'm heartbroken for tht dog. Smh. If your dog was your human child n you were told tht you cldnt take him/her with you wld you still be moving??? It's so easy to give up your pets bc everyone sees them as animals but they hv hearts n they feel just like we do. Their hearts break whn u abandoned them or give them up. it's not fair nor right. If my dogs or cats cldnt come with me I wldnt move anywhere tht they're not welcomed. bc my animals are just like my kids. Think b4 you leave your dog behind
We have adopted to families in Doylestown, but we always recommend people look at shelters/rescues close to home, since there are homeless pets in every town!
Sherri, we have never had an adoption fee because we don't want it to be about "buying a dog", instead we hope people will consider the cost to MLAR to have cared for the pet. 80% of the animals who come to us have had no medical care, so vaccines, spay/neuter, microchip, care and housing and anything else they need, we need to raise money to cover. We certainly hope people will take that into consideration when they adopt, but we don't expect a set fee. For some families making a monthly donation for a year, is easier than a lump sum at the time of adoption. However it works best for the adopters.
Our adoptions are all done by volunteers who know the dogs well, so we want to make sure someone is here who can introduce you to them and will know their likes and dislikes. The best way to meet them is to have an appointment and have a volunteer meet you here and be committed to working with you the whole time you are looking at dogs. This will explain a little more about how to coordinate a visit. Thank you and we look forward to meeting you and helping you find a dog! https://www.mlar.org/adoption-overview
They like you to have an appointment so that an adoption counselor is available to work with you. People occasionally stop in and can be seen if they have a counselor to do an appointment with you. Best to call.
I would recommend calling, they are often very accommodating but they have to have space to agree to take the cat. Good luck!
Love this place. Animals are lovingly taken care of and they even have a rehabilitation room for abused or frightened dogs. Definitely worth volunteering here!
No. He went to a great home about 3 months ago. He has 2 really nice sisters and I believe a brother
No!
The website is also a great resource, it is continuously updated.
