Smallmouths,sunnies,trout. Sunnies easy to catch. Smallmouths see a lot of pressure so they are real wary. Trout are stocked and overfished but some still around in deeper pools.

The park is open Dawn to dusk but there's if you don't park in the main lot you can always park on one of the streets around and walk in just about any time

You need a fishing license. I don't know the cost. Pennypack is stocked during fishing season. I'm not sure when that is.

Benches and picnic tables. Charcoal grills at most major entry points. I use to eat my lunch there every day and then walk the park.

For the most part the water is clean...So to answer the question Are there leeches in the water? NO there is no leeches in the water. Also to agree with the local guide You are NOT allowed in the water. That's up to you if you wish to get your feet wet.

No hours this isnt a state run park. More or less a wildlife area that follows a creek and in a few areas are a playground and stage area where events are held

People have in the creek, But no swimming signs are up .There have been several drownings over the years..
