Simple place with excellent food.

First of all, yes the very sketchy place with a red door and no sign is the restaurant. The place looks pretty run down both inside and out. It's hot and bare bones inside and you can't see out of the windows. We stumbled on it after driving around not wanting to pay to park at the restaurant we were originally going to and are very pleased that we found it. Don't let appearances fool you. The food is delicious (hello boiled peanuts for an appetizer). It's fresh and homestyle. Our waitress was great too. What it lacks in ambiance is made up for with everything else; trust me.

We shared their Seafood Platter - fried shrimp, scallops, oysters, and catch of the day (flounder today), with a handful of sides. The seafood was perfectly cooked and very fresh. All of the sides (red rice, some kind of beans, a fried hominy square, a large-ish hushpuppy, and slaw) were fantastic. I especially loved the hominy square and the beans. After the best meal of our trip, we couldn't miss dessert! We couldn't decide between the key lime bread pudding and the key lime pie. Both were excellent, but very different. The key lime bread pudding was warm and soft flavored with key lime and cinnamon. The key lime pie was chilled and the custard was just-set, creating the perfect silky texture. It was definitely made with real key lime juice and was not dyed the horrible green of sad "key lime" pie. The staff was friendly and helpful. The service was prompt, and there was no wait time. We'll definitely be back!

The basic safety practices are being followed; although, our server wore her mask below her nose rendering it virtually useless...
Thanks for your response. Oh well, one day, maybe I will find where the great beer bread was served. In the meantime, I always love great hush puppies. If anyone recalls beer bread being served at a restaurant with an atmosphere like the Wreak, let me know. It seems as if it had sweet undertones to it.
Pets ate allowed outside but they don't serve food outside... only drinks
We certainly do! Call us at 843-884-0052 or email through the website.
It does have a deck and you can see the water. Sunset would be nice.
If you consider ceiling fans A/C, then yes. I recommend several cold beverages to go along with your tasty dinner.

First come, first serve, unless you're expecting to have a large group.
In general they do not, it's "first come, first serve". I believe they will for parties of 8 or more, but not 100% certain. They answer the phone after 4 until close.
