I showed up about a half hour before their closing, and without any worries, the son of the owner helped me. He explained everything along the way, and actually had a guide book to verify his offers to make sure he was giving the going rate or better. After pricing he still allowed me opportunity to pick and choose what I wanted to keep and sell. A very different experience than what I have usually experienced around here from other coin shops or even "top dawg" who gives as little as they can, and hikes up the prices as much as they can. I would recommend this shop to anyone that asks.

I am new to collecting rare coins. Of the four coin shops I have visited, this is by far the best I have been to. Staff, inventory and price are as good as you will find in this area.

Great coin shop! The owner, Steve Damron is very knowledgeable on U.S. coins and currency, foreign coins and currency, and various tokens and medals. The prices at this store are unbeatable. The staff is also very knowledgeable on the rare coin and currency market. I love this shop, and I know I’ll always learn something, get a good deal, and meet other coin collectors while I’m visiting! Best coin shop I’ve ever been to! Will definitely be returning to this shop for many years to come!

We would have to physically see the coin for a proper estimate. Feel free to bring it in during our regular business hours and Thank you for enquiring! Merry Christmas!
We generally charge $75/hr for straight appraisals. If a significant portion/all of the collection is sold when we make an offer we waive the appraisal fee.
There is no fee for small collections or larger collections that we purchase. However, for just a regular appraisal that takes us time, we pro-rate anything taking more than 30 minutes at $75 dollars an hour. This typically applies to collections we appraise for estates, the courts, or personal collections being evaluated for insurance or personal reasons.
Not only yes but if you want to deal with a reputable dealer Clein's is THE place to go!!! You'll also get an education in the process!!!
Most coins of that year are only worth their face value. Check the edges of the coins however because some sets had silver coins. If you see any copper shining through the edges it's not silver. Also if the coins have a mirror-like finish- one in which you can see your reflection then they might be worth slightly more but the current market is not very good for the mirror-like(also known as proofs) bicentennial coins.
Not a w mint. It a d or s and plain
We buy scrap jewelry on Friday and Saturdays
We do not. We generally don't have a market for them but occasionally get them in larger collections but we never price them and put them out for sale.

What types of US coins do yoy have and what are the dates?
We would have to look at the condition but for most common date peace dollars we pay anywhere from $10 to $25 dollars depending on condition and the trend of the precious metals and collectable coins market for the coin in question. As a rule of thumb, we have to be able to see a coin to determine the value.
We do not buy baseball cards and unfortunately no longer know anyone that does.
We would have to see the coin in question and send it to be graded and authenticated. The variety that is worth that much is a rare piece struck on a 1941 Canadian quarter planchet.
The short answer is that it depends. It is very rare to see a wheat penny graded over Mint State 65 because of the numbers that were minted. The only one worth over $1000 would be one graded in MS68 Red condition at $9500. A grade lower of MS67 drops down significantly to $250. They have to be certified Red color though. Anything lower in grade or a brown/red brown designation will retail for $32 or less.
They are a novelty item. If the buckle itself is silver it can have some value depending on the weight but typically we pay 25 cents for common date buffalo nickels and if it has been turned into jewelry we don't really have a market for it.
Currency, as well as coins, are highly dependent on condition. They can be worth just over face value to $10-15 for better conditions with the right serial, etc. Too many factors to take into account without being able to see the note in question.
We would have to see the condition of the particular coin.
You can get a scrap price maybe melt value 16.00 ounce
It would need to be authenticated. There are brass varieties that exist but the mint states a date range prior to 1998. It could also be plated. Bring it by and let us take a look at it if you need to but it isn't really the type of item we deal with as far as buying and selling.
While most have a catalog value of around a buck you won't see anyone in the dealer market paying these prices for common varieties. Various rare dates and mint marks do exist however, so you should always have someone check them for these as well as condition.
Clein's. They are knowledgeable and fair.
You don't want to clean coins as it degrades the value. In the case of rare coins and varieties they can be sent off to a grading service and if they deem it eligible for conservation they can do so.
In about good circulated condition we pay anywhere between $12-14. Krugerands at 90% of melt. We don't have buyers for them so we melt them. Hopefully that changes in the future.
