It's deeply saddening & troubling that you use your funds (taxpayer money) to go after the Petty family for marijuana edibles. I don't think the public you're meant to serve was worried about those 'extremely dangerous' marijuana edibles. In other states they are having competitions to see who has the strongest, the biggest. I feel like the police lose sight of why you were created in the first place. I have never been to your county. I have never met the Petty's. I feel terrible for the people of your county. Hope you guys feel pretty good about yourselves. 😢

Called and left messages for a WEEK for Trent C. And his Sheriff about a ticket issue and follow through on how it was explained, and nobody took the time to call me back—mind you, this issue was for something time sensitive as my License was potentially to be suspended over something the officer told me I would not have to pay as long as I got something updated. Upon further investigation of the law around it, the penalty also seems too severe for the situation... I work customer service—I know I couldn’t dodge calls from a client for a week and get away with it, so why is someone that’s supposed to protect and serve any different? I Paid the fine, though I feel it was unjust, and I’m thoroughly upset. Hope this message finds anyone who has dealt with the same thing.

We broke down tonight in an unfamiliar area and some people pulled up and made me extremely uneasy. I called 911 and they sent an officer from the sheriffs office out. His name was Lee Burnett (hopefully I spelled it right), and he was such a nice person. He helped us with the tire and stayed with us until we were done. I hope this recognition gets to his supervisor so they know what a great job he’s doing and what a nice guy they have representing them. Donna Potter

After spending most of my adult life with SCHP then GPD, it is sad to see most agencies have resorted to reactive Police Work. Proactive is the only way to do this profession correctly. There is no amount of money that would get me out of retirement, as bad as I want to. Understand that a very small and squeaky portion of the public has forced Law Enforcement to be this way. No one wants to be the next You Tube sensation for just doing their job. So the next time you have a so called emergency, and it takes an hour for then to arrive, the public has created that scenario. ccreatedcthatsscenario.

⚠️Witnesses with copies and records have proven that in 2014 Towery M Burris-Hunt owned the property. Robert M Heath was hired as a property manager but was released due to issues. Insiders report Heath and family used records & documents in his possession as manager to somehow take possession of 100+ properties. Law enforcement have yet to make arrest. Bribery attempts were reported!
I can not answer the question i personally don't have any knowledge of whom to ask .... heres a dumb question ask someone who works with the sheriff's office...
Cherokee country sheriff's department is operated very poorly, they don't put enough effort into their jobs, from the sheriff all the way down to the janitor, unless you're wealthy or good friends with the sheriff
Don't know the answer to that. Best way to handle it is call 911 and let an officer make them stop
The ride has been moved to July 27 due to weather and scheduling conflicts.
You will call cherokee county dispatch and let them know what is going on.
