After reading reviews I was really intimidated about going down and dealing with people at this courthouse. I've been pleasantly surprised from the police officers that are at the front door when you walk through , the clerk's office and the judges they all have been very kind and courteous. There have been some mistakes that have been made with regards to my case but as soon as I emailed them about it it was corrected. I'm not the most excited when I have to go there because it's court whoever is excited about going there but I also I'm not excited because as soon as I walk in my skin is on fire because I'm allergic to mold but that's pretty much many places in the low country. Billi , Vanessa and John at the door always have a smile on their face and make a not so fun trip to the courthouse more pleasant. Not as bad as you might think. Judge Novak is an honest man.

In and out fast dont bring knifes or anything you have to go through metal detectors and if you got even a little pocket knife they won't let you in

Professional staff that responds to a call readily, and willing to assist with matters that come before the court. Quick follow-up info via mail.

This is for anyone who is probably having similar issues of getting no response from Clerk of Courts- especially the Child Support/Family Court Division. I had to call 6 times and leave 6 messages before my case worker called me back. When you call, it goes directly to vmail, so there's no human answering your calls. Every time I leave a message, I let her know what number voicemail it is. I've even written a request to be contacted two weeks ago on their platform...nothing. Finally, when she calls me back, it's always "Well is he working?" Ma'am, I do not care if he's working the pole, RUN ME MY MONEY! You just have to be direct and ask for ENFORCEMENT. That's the magic word. They will then file a "Rule to Show" for the noncustodial parent to go in front of a judge. Even if they say it won't be on the docket til the following month, say "That's fine" and they'll notify you via mail the confirmation of date/time of ruling. Unfortunately you have to be persistent or nothing will be done. Even though they(Beaufort County) are supposed to be representing you and monitoring your case...the reality is it's up to YOU! I hope this helps the single parents struggling out there...don't give up!

Probably best to call first if not just go in.
Send her bills every month, and mention on the bill it is up for siezure of her assets and collections if she does not pay. After six months file with the courts. Or send her a thank you note for her business, and just wait. Send her flowers next and wait. And so on. She will compensate for the flowers in some way in time, then the job after a friendship develops.
Yes most of the time but they will charge you
