THE BEST - hands down! I’ve used Gentle Giant for every move for the last 22 years!! Many in-town and multiple cross state moves — so I have many, many data points to base this review. Everything about this company is amazing — the people, the service — everything. They are always friendly and professional — and they truly take care of your things. I have lots of fine furniture and they do an excellent job. Moving is so stressful and working with them gives you so much peace of mind that your items will be cared for. We just completed our move with Gentle Giant. The crew, which consisted of Mitchell, Edgar, Caleb, and David, were absolutely incredible. They came on day one to complete our packing. They were quick, efficient, and did an absolutely amazing job. On day two they came back to move us. They didn’t bang any walls in our apartment as we were leaving, nor did they bang any walls in our new home. I never saw a single box get miss-handled or tipped over in anyway. They took the time to make sure that our furniture was arranged in a way that we liked. In addition to all of this they were so kind and polite. This is hands-down the best move I have ever made. I will be recommending them to anyone I know that is moving in the future.

My experience with Gentle Giant was AWESOME! Michael, the sales rep, came to my home and took inventory of all my belongings was very easy to talk to and detail-oriented. Rachael, who coordinated the move details, was also very detail-oriented and a pleasure to talk to. My crew of movers were all EXCELLENT. The crew, Andrew, Randy, Houston & Paul were one time, great communication between team members as they were moving my furniture out of my old place and into my new place. They worked together like a well oiled machine! Very professional and courteous, efficient, honest, patient and their attention to detail was OUTSTANDING. The helped me place all my furniture "exactly" where I wanted it in my new home and made sure I was happy before they left. They were a great crew to work with. We recommend scheduling your move as far in advance as possible. The farther out you can plan your move, the greater the availability you will have in choosing a preferred date and time. A general rule of thumb is to contact us no later than two weeks in advance of your desired move date.
Yes. Our professional movers and moving trucks are prepared to move during rain, sleet, or snow. However, in order to keep costs down, we recommend you shovel, rake, or otherwise clear the access ways in preparation for their arrival.
No, we are not equipped to dispose of trash. However, if you wish to have something transported to a waste disposal location, we are able to transport it at the hourly rate, plus any fee imposed by the disposal facility. If possible, talk to your move coordinator prior to moving day to make these arrangements.
Gentle Giant, as well as all licensed movers, will not move hazardous or combustible items such as propane tanks, firearms, paint, and aerosols, as the temperature in the truck could cause these items to explode or ignite.
Demand for moving services is generally at its lowest during the middle of the month and, in particular, the middle of the week. If your schedule allows for a move on one of these days, many movers offer their most competitive rates during those times.
