Great community resource. You will fall in love with Belle, the facility director. Wonderful venture to contribute your extra dollars or tithes

We are accepting women at that facility. Hope's House for women is located on Central Ave in Summerville. Anyone who is homeless and interested in staying with us must personally contact one of our Facility Managers at Hope's House 843-771-2094 and ask for Carla . All guests at either facility must not have any outstanding warrants, no drug or alcohol use is permitted and all guests must be able to and willing to seek full time employment. Thanks for reaching out.
Currently we only accept men at our men's facility the Home of Hope. We hope to have Hope's House, our women's facility, open in the very near future.
Please stop by and ask for Stan or Belle. They keep a list near the door of their current needs, frequently it's paper towels and laundry detergent. Maybe you belong to a group or your neighborhood might organize dinner for the gentlemen periodically. My neighborhood makes dinner for them twice a month. The men truly appreciate it!
Sorry, we are not aware of any type of facility that caters to that specific demographic. There are a couple of boarding houses in the area but there is a cost associated with that at a cost of about $125 per week. There is a shelter called Safe Haven in Walterboro that assists families - their number is 843-549-1597. We will pray that you find some assistance.
Here are the requirements for a stay at a DCCO facility. Our homeless shelters, the Home of Hope for men and Hope's House for women without children are both located on Central Ave in Summerville. Anyone who is homeless and interested in staying with us must personally contact one of our Facility Managers - for the Home of Hope call 843-469-8858 and ask to speak with Belle or for Hope's House 843-771-2094 and ask for Carla . All guests at either facility must not have any outstanding warrants, no drug or alcohol use is permitted and all guests must be able to and willing to seek full time employment. Hope this helps.
Home of Hope does not accept clothing. Please donate to 2nd Chances. They give vouchers to the men of Home of Hope.
Absolutely. But clothing should go to Second Chances by the library. Donations like laundry supplies and toiletries are welcome.
No we do not offer rental assistance. We are a homeless shelter that provides food, shelter and support for guests until they become self sufficient through full time employment. All guests must be able and willing to work full time.
This is a shelter for men only.
Yep any time between 9am to 8pm
No, its just a mens shelter, there are several shelters in the Charleston area for women and children.
No but they have information on where you can stay, just call them . They are listed. Up-date .There is now a women's shelter in Summerville SC.
Go there. Call. Ask for Stan or Robert. That' would be my suggestion. It is a good, clean place--and a God-send answer to prayers for men looking to get their lives back on track.
