Sadly the picnic area is still closed, you can get to the swimming area from the boat launch area by walking up steps.

This is a picnic area with a beach and boat launch.it was closed but u can still visit and access it. It is public land however and from my understanding as long as u pack in pack out and leave nature the way she was when u arrive your ok. You can check the us forestery dept online. The campground is down the road at bagley rapids. 15$ a night.
