If you like Great Lakes history, ships and trains this is the Park to visit. The industry reflected is mining. Preserved at this location are; one of the largest locomotives built at that time and, down the drive, the tug Edna G is moored. A Two Harbors lighthouse is across the parking lots to the north. Tours & volunteers provide the stories at these very modest attractions.

We stopped here fora picnic. It was a picturesque place to watch a huge ship load and head out onto Lake Superior, and also a quick walk on the breakwater to the lighthouse.

Very cool glimpse at history, as well as the awe of seeing such a large structure. Very convenient trail to the lighthouse with some intriguing ruins along the way.

Ready to get to with Google maps but few tourists. You are right in front of the massive ore loading piers and the steam tug. Quiet, great place for a picnic
