Such a great experience! Learned a lot about Mt. Airy, Mayberry, and Andy Griffith! My kids loved riding all over town in the classic squad car. It's a must if you ever get to visit Mt. Airy.

The tour was nice, although aside from the massive granite quarry, Andy Griffith museum and Andy's parent's home there's not much to the tour. The driver asked if his two grandchildren could join us on the tour. The kids were loud and made it difficult to hear the tour guide. He still charged full fare and still requested a tip. I felt it was a bit cheesy to ask for a tip when his grandchildren took away from the experience.

It was around $20 I think....that's per car not person. It was Really cute and full of facts.
We saw someone in a wheelchair when we were there. If you are able to get out of wheelchair into a low riding car than you should be good. It was an awesome your hope you are able to do it.
We had a wonderful time here. We have no children, but I saw several the day we went.
Every place except for the granite mine can be walked too, but you'll miss out on a lot of the info on some of the landmarks.
